Education and Experience
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2018, with a minor in neuroscience. After graduating with my B.A. I enrolled in a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction program at UNLV, which helped me be able to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. I taught 6th grade science as well as special education; however, while I was teaching I realized how important it is to prioritize the well-being of teachers. I switched programs to pursue a PhD. in School Psychology, where I have been able to research ways in which we can prioritize and enhance teacher’s mental health in order to combat burnout and attrition among this population.
Personal Interests
As a Las Vegas native, I enjoy all things city and outdoorsy. I enjoy spending time with those I love, eating great food, going to concerts, being outside in nature and snuggling up with my lovable pets. I love to travel in order to explore new places and try new things. Some of my hobbies include: cooking, gardening, crafting and reading a good book.
