Henderson Award Program Honors the Achievement

HENDERSON February 25, 2024 -- Sandstone Psychological Practice has been selected for the 2024 Best of Henderson Award in the Mental Health Clinic category by the Henderson Award Program. Sandstone Psychological Practice is among a very small group of companies that have won the Best of Henderson Award for six consecutive years. This distinction has qualified Sandstone for the 2024 Henderson Business Hall of Fame.

Each year, the Henderson Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Henderson area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2024 Henderson Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Henderson Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Important Update on Anthem Medicaid

Dear Sandstone Community,

As of 11/15/2023, we will no longer be in-network with Anthem Medicaid. Sandstone is dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services and values being a practice that accepts health insurance. Congratulations to
Dr. Jakob Mauer!

Congratulations to Dr. Jakob Mauer, DSW, LICSW, LCSW, for graduating with his doctoral degree and achieving full independent licensure! He has current openings for new clients and uses intersectional, relational (i.e., attachment), and CBT theoretical perspectives when collaborating with clients on their treatment plans.

Additionally, when working with couples and nontraditional relationships, he uses EFT and Gottman Methods to assist his clientele with achieving their relational goals. Jakob particularly enjoys assisting clients who are exploring their identity and life purpose, and those who are struggling interpersonally.

Jakob utilizes his creativity at Sandstone and is currently developing a weekend-long relationship wellness program where couples/relationships can jump-start their therapy journey through 2-days of experiential immersion, including education, skill-building, and emotional processing.
